Hada Labo Gokujyun Ultimate Moisturizing Lotion Review

Yo, belles!

As an oily skin gal, I take skincare quite seriously. I never skip skincare every morning and night. And I never sleep with makeup on. How tired I am at any time, I will force myself to cleanse my face, brush my teeth, and apply the skincare stuffs. I notice that my skin has been improving since then. So this time, I am going to talk about one of the skincare that I have been using for months (almost a year, probably) and that is Hada Labo Gokujyun Ultimate Moisturizing Lotion.

Make Over Eyeliner Pencil in Black Jack Review

Hello again, belles!

This time I'm about to review an eyeliner which is pretty famous among Indonesian beauty netizens here. It is produced by a local company, Make Over. I like this brand, really. I also reviewed their trivia eyeshadows here.

Well in my last eyeliner review, I said that I rarely wore eyeliner and I seriously didn't see myself buying another pencil eyeliner. But surprise, surprise, I got another eyeliner. But this time, for free. LOL

The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer in 1.5 Natural Beige Review

OMG, belles!

As someone who puts concealer as one of makeup priorities, no holy grail concealer for me as of yet. I need an affordable, but wonderful concealer. Finally, I found a new hot boyfriend. And that is The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer. I found this out through Korean beauty bloggers (yes, I do check their reviews on naver) and youtubers.

Tony Moly Clean Dew Cleansing Oil in Apple Mint Review

Hi, belles!

So, how's your summer? Hope it's fun! Anyway, I finally bought a cleansing oil! YEAY! I wanted to try cleansing oil so much. As an acne prone gal, my pores get clogged easily. I have to make sure to remove any kind of dirt on my face especially after wearing makeup or even just sunscreen. Although I have oily skin, putting oil on my face just feels good. I feel like I always learn more about my skin as I try many makeup or skincare products. So, does this thing work? Let's find out.

Nature Republic Eco Crayon Lip Rouge in Burgundy Red Review

Good Monday Morning, belles!

Who can get enough of lippies? Not me. There's no such thing as too many lippies. Lately, I am so into jumbo lip pencils. I found it more convenient to bring around in my purse and also to use. And so this time I am going to talk about another jumbo/crayon lippies which is Nature Republic Eco Crayon Lip Rouge. The reason why I bought this was simply because I wanted to try more Nature Republic products.

5 Makeup Products I Can't Live Without

Yes, this is written in a particular order from least to greatest cult. Honestly, I don't really have any specific favorite brand yet because I am still trying many products to find the perfect holy grail, so I am just going to mention my favorites each.

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Sultry Review

Hey-ho, belles!

I like collecting makeup. To be specific, I like collecting lip colors. Lip color is something that I wear on daily basis. I look pale and sick without it (my friends could definitely tell). And so in this post, I am going to talk about my new favorite thing which is Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Sultry.

e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder Review

Hello again, belles!

What I'm going to talk about this time is a best friend for all of you who have to deal with greasiness anytime and anywhere. Yes, it's powder (isn't it?). Other than blotting sheets, I think we should agree that powder is another best friend in life.

e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette in Light Review

A-yo, belles!

... I don't know what to write as an intro. I am running out of ideas. FYI, for the next three months, I'll be super busy so I am trying to write as many posts as I can and publish them as scheduled posts later on. Hopefully I can manage them all.

Anyway, let's get into the thing!

Mineral Botanica Face Mist Review

Good Monday, belles!

Let me tell you one fact: I have oily skin (I stated this everywhere for a million times), but although my skin is an oil slick most of the times, I can feel that it is actually dehydrated. That's why I never skip skincare every morning and night and always force myself to drink more and more water.

On most days, I feel like putting moisturizer in the middle of the day because, after blotting the oil away, I just need to hydrate the skin. But well, I can't. And this is when facial mists come to help. I love face mists. Such a life safer.

Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara Review

Bonjour, belles!

Well well well. If I am asked (again) which condition to choose: wearing eyeliner without mascara or mascara without eyeliner, hands freakin' down, I'll choose the latter. In fact, I rarely wear eyeliner at all. I only wear it on special occasions. Mascara has become such an important makeup product in my life. So here I am with another mascara review. (Now I know I am most excited whenever I write anything about mascara on this blog.)

Maybelline Clean Express Miracle Water Review

Howdy, belles!

Cleansing water has become such a trend (hasn't it?) and you might hear the beauty enthusiasts talked about any kind of cleansing water. Most famous one is Bioderma's, no doubt. But this time I'm not going to review Bioderma cleansing water (obviously, sorry). So here I am with another Maybelline product.

Mizzu Chrome Gel Eyeliner - Carbon Black Review

Good day, belles!

If I am asked which makeup thing that almost every woman owns, I'll answer: black pencil eyeliner. Well, I said almost, okay, not all of them. Why? Because when you just start doing makeup and you're doing some research here and there, you will find out that pencil eyeliners are what other people usually recommend for beginners. And well, black is just that common color for eyeliners.

For quite some time, I lived without black pencil eyeliner. I do have black gel and liquid eyeliner, but you know, there are those times when you just don't want to spend too much time perfecting the gel or liquid eyeliner and just slap on a black pencil and smudge them, that's what I wanted. So here I am with a fairly new black pencil eyeliner.

NYX Mosaic Powder Blush 01 Highlighter Review

Wassup, belles!

I finally got some time to sit and type! I supposed to have many free time this semester, but why don't I..... Anyway, the product that I am going to review in this post is something that I have wanted for quite some time. Well, not this brand in particular, but I actually really wanted to try any kind of highlighter. I am an oily-skin gal myself (with visible pores) and I've heard (and read) people warning others to stay away from highlighters. But still, I wanted to try and so here we go.

Maybelline EYESTUDIO Color Tattoo 24HR Bad to the Bronze Review

Ola, belles!

(As I am typing this, it's Sunday night so) Happy Sunday night! Don't be too bothered with the fact that tomorrow is Monday and another horror series will begin. Well, we all should be bothered. I don't have any class tomorrow which is a huge bless. (crying tears of diamonds)

What I am going to talk this time is an eyeshadow that is pretty much raved everywhere. Well, it's Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. Many people said it was the dupe of MAC's Paint Pot - or even better. I don't own any paint pot so I can't really tell, but so far, this thing is da bomb.

The Bath Box Lemon Muesli Wash Off Mask Review

Bonjour, belles!

There are days when I feel so happy putting things on my face, but there are also days when I am just not bothered. I need to fix this lazy habit because I do realize that my skin is definitely better whenever I do masks religiously.

So the product that I'm going to talk about next is The Bath Box Lemon Muesli Wash Off Mask! It is an Indonesian brand, handmade, and one thing that many of us like, using natural ingredients.

The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Design My Eyebrow 01 Gray Brown Review

Hallo, belles!

I'm in the middle of midterm weeks, but guess what, I actually have lots of free time. The thing is that I am spending most of it to read manga(s), watch so many videos on youtube and so yeah, this blog is pretty much neglected. It's just so easy to procrastinate everything *side-eyeing piles of books and an essay*.

Anyway, in this post I am going to talk about another eyebrow product. If you read my Etude House Drawing Eyebrow review, then you'd know that that pencil was broken halfway (and so was my heart) so for some time I was just using an old brow pencil that I had. But then I decided to purchase a new auto eyebrow pencil!

Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush Review

Hi, belles!

I finally set my mind and decided to write a post about this one makeup brush that I've been loving since last year. It's from Zoeva, a German brand, and I should say it's been raved everywhere. I was actually planning to purchase Real Techniques ones, but when I saw this brand on the new-entry on Luxola, I just felt the need to try it. I also read many good reviews of it.

Maybelline Color Sensational Pink Alert POW 4 Review

Hi, belles!

In some parts of the world, it's spring (or almost spring). But here in my part of the world, it's just hot. Rainy season won't make the heat go away. When it's about to rain hard in the evening, the morning and afternoon before will be super hot and humid.

So, I'm back with another lipstick! Why am I talking about whether anyway. Well, it has something to do with spring because I think the lip color that I'm going to talk about next is just so spring-y. (Although I wear it all year long. Come on we don't have spring here.)

Beauty Pod Airbrush FX Sponge Review

Hi, belles!

Well, it's going to be my first time reviewing a beauty tool. I said in one of my posts that I wanted to review a Zoeva brush that I had, but I simply forgot it.

So one day, I was browsing through luxola's site and this one sponge caught my attention. I tried to do some research of it and found some posts which claimed that this Beauty Pod was the dupe of the holy Beauty Blender. I don't have any Beauty Blender with me, so sorry to say, I can't compare them and can't really tell whether  Beauty Pod works the same as or better than Beauty Blender. I have a pile of wedge sponges though, so the least that I can do is comparing Beauty Pod with wedge sponges. Sorry.

Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel SPF30 Review

Hi, belles!

Back again with me and another review! So it's March already. Why does time fly so fast, I don't even get the chance to breathe properly. Well, cut the intro and let's get into the review.

A sunscreen that I'm currently using is Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel SPF30. I actually wanted the SPF50 one, but heard that that was a bit heavier so I chose this one instead.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Certainly Red and Pink Velvet Review

Hi, belles!

Who can get enough of lip colors?
Not me. Nope.

Kracie Hadabisei Acne Care White Mask Review

Hi, belles!

Phew I have many posts in the draft and I think I should post them asap because I'm just too lazy to type things lately so when I finally succeed in bringing myself to type, edit, etc, I can't stop. I'm not allowing myself to stop.

So what I'm going to review next is a product from a Japanese brand called Kracie. What is Kracie? Kracie is like a more-affordable line of Kanebo. You guys know (or at least heard once about) Kanebo right? According to my little research, Kracie is pretty popular in Japan. Well, finally they entered here in Indonesia.

Few weeks ago, I joined "a giveaway" held by Kawaii Beauty Japan.Well, I was one of the chosen ones, and so I got it for free. They sent me two mask sheets and a bunch of pamphlets and a desk calendar. So first, I want to thank KBJ and Kracie (and Hoyu ID) for holding the giveaway.

Okay, let's get into the product.

Product Empties! #1

Hi, belles!

So I'm going to share some of the things that I've used up. There are some products that I repurchase already, some that I threw away because they broke me out, and some that were just so so. And here they are.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Ibiza, Prague, Buenos Aires Review

Hi, belles!

Almost everyone has jumped into the liquid lipstick trend. Especially those liquid lipsticks which dry matte. I am a matte lipstick addict. One day I woke up and told myself to stop wearing glossy/shiny lip products. Well, not really. Sometimes I still wear satin or slightly glossy lip products. The thing is that my face is oily, and looking at my oily face with the glossy lips is such a turn off ugh. At least I need something that will look matte for the entire day. LOL

And so this time I'm going to talk about the ever-so-famous NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. I wanted to try this so bad and finally got a chance to purchase some. The shades that I have now are Buenos Aires, Ibiza, and Prague.

The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX You & Face Blusher 09 Cinnamon Dream Review

Hi, belles!

I've always wanted to try a bronzer because I've been told so many times that I looked so pale and lifeless without any color on my face. My mom used to tell me to buy one-shade-darker foundation, but no. When it comes to base makeup, it has to match my real skin tone. Well, it's even easier to go with the lighter tone because we can always add more warmth with the bronzer. And so that's why I decided to purchase this one.

Innisfree Green Tea Fresh Cream Review

Hi, belles!

Finally, I found a new best friend for my skin.

Innisfree Green Tea Fresh Cream, this has been working so great on my oily skin I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It absorbs fast, leaves no residue, and leaves the skin feeling good and fresh. I am always insecure whenever I have to buy a moisturizer because it's so hard to find a moisturizer that doesn't break me out or feel greasy. With fingers crossed, I just wish I didn't make a wrong purchase. Well, I apparently didn't. :"

Maybelline Volum' Express THE FALSIES Mascara Review

Holla, belles!

Such a hard work to open blogger.com and finish the unfinished drafts. College break got the best of me because MOVIE AND DRAMA MARATHONS!!!!11 lol

Anyway, this time I'm going to review a mascara that I've been using for the past months which is Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara. And so far, it has been working really well on my lashes.

How to Deal with Oily Skin

As I've mentioned many times, I have a normal-oily skin with an extremely oily T-zone and as an extra, mine is also acne-prone. So this is how I deal with my oily skin. Well, just some personal experience to share. :)

"No foundations or simply any base make up that keep my skin oil-free for the entire day."
I never really try any famous face primer (I will when I get the chance one day), but I am actually not relying much on mattifying products because sooner or later the oil will start seeping through my skin. I also don't believe in any product that claims to keep the skin matte for long hours. As Lisa from Lisa Eldridge said in one of her videos (she's one of my favorite makeup artists anyway), that no foundations will completely block any oil from coming through because what they do is to slow down the oil from reaching the surface. And that maybe also happens to face primers. On everyday basis, I only cover dark circles, spots, highlight the high points, set the face with powder and I'm good to go. And so my face will get oily in such a short time, but that's fine though.

But when you do wear full makeup, use ones that are made for oily skin, set with powder, and bla bla (you know the deal). Many times I spotted women with a flat skin because of the super matte-ness and I personally thought that was weird to look at. :| Well, you do your own makeup and who am I to judge, so just do whatever you're comfortable with. That's just a personal thought. :) Anyway, here's a good article sharing some makeup tips for oily skin.

I personally like it when the oil starts coming through a bit on my skin because it gives that pretty glow that I like. But yeah, when the oil comes through too much, the glow is not pretty anymore, I know. Sigh.

Keep the skincare routine simple.
Although we have oily skin, but as lots of people say, moisturizing is just as important as it is for those with dry skin. Keep it simple and don't over-moisturize your skin because who loves a sticky skin? Not me. As for weekly skincare routine, I found out that using natural products was good for my skin. Honey and green tea are my skin's best friends. I ditched the masks that I bought earlier and now I only use honey and oatmeal mask to exfoliate, DIY green tea sheet mask, and green tea rinse.

Skincare: alcohol or alcohol-free?
I used to use many skincare products with alcohol in it. I thought it would work. Turned out it only made my skin oilier eww. You guys know how it feels like when you're applying toner-with-alcohol-ingredients. So dry, so tight (this sounds so wrong). So, what I can recommend to you oily-skin-survivors, is to try to avoid products with alcohol. You don't have to completely avoid it because sometimes there are products with alcohol that work great, too. In my case, my day-time moisturizer is the only one with alcohol (it's clean & clear essentials moisturizer anyway).

Blotting sheets and face sprays/mists are the best friends.
I always bring blotting sheets with me every time and everywhere. I always have at least one backup of any blotting sheets at home. My favorite is clean & clear oil control film. When the oil on the face comes through too much, you know how greasy it feels like and not to mention, how easy it will be for the dusts to stick on our skin. That's why I always have blotting sheets with me. And after blotting the oil away, I usually spray the facial spray/mist afterwards to add some moisture to the skin. I love how fresh it feels on my skin. I use evian facial spray and when I run out of it, I just put my toner into a spray bottle.

Drink, drink, drink!
Say no to dehydrated skin! Drink lots of water! I always make sure to have a glass of water around me because whenever I have water with me, I just subconsciously reach for the glass and drink and drink and drink. You probably should try it too and tell me whether it also happens to you or not lol

Last but not least, embrace your oily skin. Seriously, be grateful for your oily skin. At least, we don't get wrinkle as easy as people with dry skin do. Take proper care of your skin and everything's gonna be okay lol. (Well, I am serious this time.)

Happy New Year and Happy Getting Older!

HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR YOU ALL GUYS WHO READ THIS! Another page of life has just begun. Let's live our life to the fullest!

cr. resistaa
And also, HAPPY TWENTY-FIRST for me! I'm old, but I don't feel old because I don't want to feel old (what?). So a note to myself, stop being a deadliner, finish your papers and essays soon, don't be a procrastinator, start to work on the thesis, go overseas as an exchange student, graduate soon, and get a job (or at least try to find out what do I really want to do in life after uni).

I didn't get any present or cake because my family was not used to that kind of thing. And so I'm used not to receive anything except for the birthday wishes that people sent me. That's actually enough to brighten up my birthday. :)

A short update because I just need to post something in the beginning of 2015. May you guys have a wonderful year ahead!
